SPANISH FORT, Alabama -- Three men used a full-sized van they had stolen in Mobile to smash through the front windows and doors of the BP station on Spanish Fort Boulevard early this morning in an attempt to steal the ATM inside, police said. "One of them also lost his pants during the chase. We recovered those in Prichard," a police investigator said.

An attempt to steal an ATM machine quickly went wrong in Spanish Fort. Not only were the suspects caught on tape, but police just happened to be across the street at the same time. The suspects took off, leaving money blowing across the parking lot.
